20 - Measuring the Marks

I can't just draw angles, I need distances, too. I calculated the sheets were large enough to make 13-inch radius parachutes, so I marked a 12-inch point, and went out another inch to 13.

I used the ruler to "connect-the-dots" with the marker and the 13-inch marks, then drew a smoothly curved line on top of those lines, and cut along the smooth line with a box cutter, with the material still layed out on the table.

Very close to a circle, and nicely marked out so I could poke holes half an inch above those 12-inch marks to pull the string through.
